Decoupage Tools and Equipment
The tools that you can not do without.
Scissors
It is better to have a pair of scissors to cut one side only. Certain things can gradually blunt scissors, and you want to keep yours clean and clear as possible. Embroidery scissors, which reaches a very clear, are good for this type of work. You can also buy curved scissors, which can be useful for removing difficult shapes. You can keep your scissors cutting fine sandpaper.
Glue
White is an excellent white tail, but can be diluted with water just before use. This will give a product similar to cut through specially made. There are many brands of glues available, some made specifically for cutting. They have instructions on the bottle. For simple projects, you can mix two parts clear drying craft glue with one part water. Some lines may be necessary to thin. wallpaper paste can be used for large surfaces. Decoupage half or glue can be used pure, but the glass which must be diluted. decoupage glue is slower drying time, which is useful if you have no experience, allowing you to change the position of the elements. There are a number of recipes available to make your own tail, if they have difficulty decoupage glue.
Spider
Mix three parts white glue with one part water. Add more water if necessary. Add two tablespoons of varnish, for shine. Put in a bowl screw.
Glue
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup flour
½ cup teaspoon powdered alum
1 ¾ cup water
¼ C. teaspoon cinnamon oil
Mix sugar, flour, and alum in a medium saucepan.
Gradually add one cup water, stirring vigorously to break up lumps. Boil until clear and soft. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and add the remaining water and oil, stirring to mix well. Put in a bowl screw.
Slow-drying glue
Add one part glycerin to four parts glue.
Varnish
The type of paint you choose depends on the use to be the case and how you want to display. You can use a water based varnish which does not yellow, or oil-based varnish to give a tinge of yellow for an aged appearance. Lacquer, which comes in aerosol cans, is easy to use for large objects.
The varnish is water based and less likely to dry quickly. It is also resistant to heat at one point and scratch resistant. Even if you have a milky appearance, it dries clear. This glaze works well in wood and glass, as it is slim and easy to implement. Available in gloss, matte and satin. You need to apply smoothly and evenly and wash your brushes and applicators with soap and water immediately after use. It dries clear, works well in bright colors. Polish water based is best to use if you work in a small space by the smoke from an oil-based varnish.
Remember that the last layer defines the goal is that if you decide you would rather have a shiny, use a matte varnish topcoat.
Cotton swabs
Are used to extend the glue around. They are a cheap alternative to brushes.
Damp
This will help clean any excess glue that leaks out, you do not want the residue found on the top.
